Cervical and Lumbar
Lower Back Pain and Sciatica
At the Instituto de Traumatología Barcelona, we have been treating the spine for over 20 years with minimally invasive treatments. Initially with Radiofrequency Rhizotomy and currently with regenerative therapies such as Growth Factors (PRP).
• Infiltrations (in consultation and operating room).
• Disclysis (herniated disc and chronic degenerative lesions).
• Rhizotomy (lower back pain due to osteoarthritis).
Pathologies:
• Herniated discs
• Lumbar and cervical osteoarthritis
• Cervical whiplash
• Vertebral fractures
Growth Factor Therapy
To perform our minimally invasive therapy on the lumbar or cervical spine with Growth Factors (PRP), even though it is a completely outpatient treatment, it must be performed in an operating room, as the infiltration must be done under the guidance of a fluoroscope (scanner). This procedure requires minimal sedation and local anesthesia, either orally or intravenously, but always without surgery and without a scalpel, and in an outpatient setting.
It is a procedure that lasts about 40 minutes, after which the patient can return home on their own, and the next day resume normal life without engaging in physical or sports activities for a few days.
